心念在前,行为在后

我们在日常生活中做事经常缺乏耐心,做不长久,做着做着就不愿干了。硬是要坚持的话,做也没有意思,因为坚持中有苦的积累。那耐力从哪儿来呢?用意乐的方法做事,就会变得简单。这周向大家推荐一个关于意识、作为、心理训练的实验方法,让我们一起来实践、体验一下它的效果吧!

平时我们做一件事,总会期待一个结果。这个结果与自己的期待相应了就会愉悦,不相应时就会失望。我们做事的时候,要是把意识、愿望放在作为前面,那作为本身就没什么了,它只是个辅助意识、愿望的参照罢了。先有个“好结果”的心念再去作为,把这个心念结果放在作为前面,那就不一样了——即使同样一件事,做多少次也不会有问题,关键是我们用什么心念来作为。

这样的训练方法是把心念的结果附于事情的作为上,以心念的结果为导向而不是以事情的结果为导向,要不然心念就会被事情的结果所影响。

用某种心情去做事情,而不是通过做事情达到某种心情。比如用感恩的心、孝顺的心、祝福的心、珍惜的心去做事情,事情就会随着你的心去作为,而不是让事情的结果影响你的心,因为事情的好坏早已在自己的心中有了结果。

我们可以尝试对比一下。像有宗教信仰的人通常会在吃饭之前祈祷、祝福,就是把感恩的心放在了吃饭前面。那饭菜味道的好坏,就被感恩的心完全超越了,好吃不好吃已经影响不了这颗感恩的心了。反之,如果没有感恩的心在前面,有时就会计较饭菜合不合自己的口味。

依心念的结果去做事,能解决许多迷茫、不清晰的作为,也会让我们的作为有乐趣。明确清晰自己的意愿,直接启用感恩的心、珍惜的心、祝福的心去作为,那生活中的迷茫、作为中相应不相应的烦恼,就会首先被排除在前,而现行的作为就成了这些感恩、珍惜、祝福等心念的陪衬。

就像自己是一个导演,把剧本编排在前,演出在后,所有的演出都围绕着剧本进行。自己的意识心念像剧本一样都早已描述好了,放在演出前面,后面的作为按剧本执行就好了。

心念在前、行为在后,作为的过程与结果就清晰、明了,不会产生什么障碍,如相应不相应、好啊坏啊等等。观察、了解好了,作为的主动性就有了。面对生活中的任何事情,我们都可以从一个满意的结果出发去作为,以愿导行,不辜负自己的机遇、因缘。

多实践这个方法,就会受益于此,人生会变得美好、准确、清晰,不会迷茫与被动。

Set our mind before taking action

In our daily life, it’s very common for us to lose patience and give up halfway while doing something. It’s meaningless even if we try very hard to persevere with it, because your suffering accumulate in such perseverance. Then how could we attain the endurance to finish the tasks?It would be simple if we adopt our enjoyable method. This week, I’d like to recommend to all of you an experimental way about mind, act and mental training. Let’s put this into practice and experience its effect!

Usually, while doing something, we invariably expect a certain result. If, luckily, the result satisfies our expectation, we will feel happy; if not, disappointment will overtake us. But if we predetermine “a good result” before we do something, it will be a different story—-even if we repeat doing the same thing many times, for our act now does not matter so much and it merely assist as a reference for our heart. Adopting what kind of heart matters a great deal.

This kind of training method is to attach predetermined result in our heart to act, and it is heart-oriented instead of result-oriented; otherwise our heart will be influenced by the imagined result of our act.

We should do something with a certain mood instead of achieving a certain mood by doing something. For example, with a grateful, filially obedient, blessing or treasuring heart to do something, the thing will develop by following your heart, with your heart uninfluenced by the result of the thing, for you have had a clear result in your heart already.

We could make a comparison as follows. Those who have religious belief and often pray and bless someone or something before dinner have a grateful heart beforehand. The taste of the meal, whether delicious or not, is surpassed by the grateful heart. Thus our heart will keep uninfluenced from the taste. Quite to the opposite, without a grateful heart beforehand, we will sometimes care too much about whether the meal is to our taste or not.

If our act is based upon a predetermined result in our heart, we can solve many confusing or unclear act and can even add some enjoyment to our act. By clarifying our wish, directly activating our grateful heart, treasuring heart and blessing heart, the confusion in our life and the worries about whether or not the result of our act satisfies our expectation will be cleared in advance. And our current act merely serves as a foil for such grateful heart, treasuring heart and blessing heart, etc.

It is just like we are the director and we know that a script always precedes its performance, and the latter should follow the former. Our wish or our heart is the script, well-prepared beforehand, and what we need to do next is just to act according to it.

With our heart preceding our act, the process and result of our act will be clear, with no more worries like whether things develop according to our expectation or not, or whether the result is good or bad. By fully observing and understanding the whole process, we can enjoy the initiative to act, and accordingly, confronted with whatever problem in our daily life, can act by starting from a satisfying heart, with which to guide our act, so as to treasure the opportunity to act.

We will benefit a lot from often practising this method, with our life being more beautiful, less disoriented and more clear instead of being confused and passive.
