你“决定”了吗?

如果生活中有些事情让我们感到不舒服了,学会就在这个不舒服的状态下,做一个决定,建立起一个新的缘起。

怎么建立呢?就是要在当下回观事相的本质是如幻的,是不可得的。不在原来不舒服的状态中滞留,一旦有滞留就会有固化,心就会跟着事相的好坏、是非跑。跟着事相跑,我们的心就会很累、很苦,去处理事相的空间就没有了。所以当我们心里感到不舒服时,要如实知道自己的心,是跟着事相跑了,还是通过事相让自己的心回归到性空这样一个广大的空间上,这点非常之重要。因为我们要是在广大、安稳的空间上去处理问题,就会宽松、从容。

如果别人说我是非、伤我自尊了,自己的心马上回到“如幻、不可得”上,那我们就在依法实践。当然,习惯上还会起嗔心,不舒服啊等等,这一定是个常态,但我们要有耐心,认识这个常态。在这个常态下,不要反抗也不要对立,警觉它就好了,不能陷在其中。不隔念、不隔时、不隔日地去做出决定、处理问题,不积累,不沉淀,令心回归并安住在清净平等上。

其实每一天中总是有一个调整的机会,比如早晨起来有个祈祷,或者晚上有个忏悔,把这一天中所有不安心的东西去忏悔一下,回归一下。实际上,这就是一个心念决定的成熟过程。比如说,今天我跟别人对抗了,起码自己心里上有个忏悔,有机会跟人说声“对不起”,道个歉啊,自己在心里就有个交代了。养成了习惯,这个习惯就会支持你,我们的“决定见”就成熟了。

当一个问题重复发生时,我们一定要彻底分析下它的来源。对比一下,我们是用一个清晰的法则,还是跟着事相跑。要彻底过一过心,做个抉择,这个抉择就是力量,这个力量是不可思议的,在平时的生活中多去实践就能体会得到。

Have you made a decision?

If something annoys us in our daily life, we should try to adjust our mind to make a decision to start a new origin.

But how? Observe such a thing to be illusory and unobtainable by nature. Don’t stay in such annoyance any more, otherwise our heart cannot be unattached, and therefore the constantly changing phenomena will lead our heart by the nose. Thus our heart will be too tired and painful to deal with things properly. So when we feel annoyed, we should be clear if we let the phenomena lead our heart by the nose, or by seeing through the phenomena, we free our heart and return it to the emptiness, the vast nature of everything. This is a very important decision, for it can decide whether or not we will be relaxed and at ease.

When there is gossip disgracing us, what we should do is to follow Dharma. Adjust our heart back to the fact that everything is illusory or unobtainable in nature. Of course, habitually, we will still be annoyed or angered sometime, but we should be patient. For it’s a natural reaction, so just take it. Neither resist it, nor oppose it. Just keep alert to it and be careful not to be attached to it. Try to make decisions to start a new origin and deal with problems within the time frame of a thought, an hour or a day Thus with no accumulation of problems, our heart will return to the purity and equanimity and keep resting there.

We always have a chance to make adjustment in a day. Like the morning pray or the evening confession, it is an opportunity to clean all the disturbing things in a day and return to original pureness. This is actually a maturing process for our heart to make decisions. For example, if I was unfriendly to someone today, at least I have an opportunity to say “sorry” in my confession, and thus this problem is dealt with to some degree and my heart is relieved from it. When we have cultivated such a good habit, it will support us and our decision making mind will come to mature.

Whenever a certain problem happens repeatedly, we should analyze its source thoroughly. Are we using the dharma to reach its nature or let the phenomenon lead us by the nose? We should think it over and make a clear decision. This decision has an incredible power. And we will come to this realization when we often apply the method in our real life.
