透彻洗礼

摘要:我们都曾经做过一些不得当的事情,恶业积累会带来痛苦与烦恼,怎么从内心深处彻底去调整洗礼它呢?

我们对善业很容易认知它的如幻性,往往对恶业却很难抉择它的如幻性,特别容易把恶业当真,对自己及他人的恶业很难原谅。越是不好的事情越在意,黏着性特别强,松不了手。

心里黏着的东西,其实就是自己内心不堪忍受的地方。在没有方法的情况下,就会在恶的地方越积越多,以致令人崩溃。对那些还不了解或者不能抉择一切如幻的人来说,“众善奉行,诸恶莫作”就是世俗教育最好的方法。

恶业的积累会给我们身心带来极大的痛苦与烦恼。那我们怎么从内心深处彻底地去调整洗礼它呢?——依止原本清净最为简单。如果本来不干净,你怎么洗也洗不干净。像我们都曾经做过一些不得当的事情,我们可以不去执着它,及时地去忏悔洗礼它。

我们过去都怨恨过,我们现在感恩了也是在洗礼它,发菩提心也是洗礼它,知道法无我、一切不可得也是在洗礼它。忏悔,是很好的一种洗除恶业的方法, 但要做得得当,否则很容易会产生内疚,容易自责、纠结。要是忏悔加上感恩、不可得,洗礼就会变得相当有效。

一般我们处理自身问题时,由于内心深处周遍性的东西缺少,就不够彻底,实际就是社会公共责任少。忏悔真是要从依正二报,从自、他、共的因缘上去忏悔,去调整,去认识觉悟。这样,它的广大、深刻、周遍的洗礼效果就会显现岀来,才能把我们的心从黏着的恶业中解脱出来,彻底从污染中回归到原本清净、原本具足上来。

Thorough purification

It’s easy for us to know that the good karma is illusory in nature, but it’s not easy for us to determine that the bad karma is also illusory. Usually we tend to take the bad karma for true existence and find it difficult to forgive the misconducts done by ourselves or others. The worse the thing is, the more likely we are attached to it. It’s so sticky for us to let it go.

What we are attached to is actually what we cannot endure in our heart. If we cannot find the way out, we may accumulate the bad karma more and more till they crush us. For those who has not come to understand or determine that everything is illusory, “do what are good and cease to do what are bad” is the best secular teaching they can get.

The accumulation of bad karma will bring both our bodies and hearts enormous sufferings and annoyances. Then how can we adjust bad karma and cleanse it from the innermost of our mind? – the easiest way is to follow the inherent purity. Because if our bad karma is not pure inherently, we cannot cleanse it no matter how hard we try. So we should not be attached to the misbehavior we have done. But we should cleanse the bad karma by confession without delay.

For the hatred we have had in the past, we are cleansing it when we are grateful, when we develop a bodhicitta, or when we know that everything has no-self and nothing is obtainable. And confession is also a good way to cleanse our bad karma, but we should confess properly; otherwise we may suffer from guilt, self-blame or obsession. Confession, together with gratitude and the knowledge that nothing is attainable, will make the purification more effective.

Usually, when confronted with our own problems, we find that the purification is not thorough enough. This is because we lack something all-pervasive in our heart. In other words, we are short of social and public responsibilities. The confession needs to be made from the perspective of both ourselves and our outside world. We should confess, adjust, recognize and be awakened from the bad karma of ourselves, others, and of the collective of all sentient beings. Only by this way, can the widespread, profound, and all-pervasive effect of purification really manifest. Our hearts can be liberated from the attachment to the evils and can come back to the inherent purity and perfection from the inner contamination.
